Welcome!

Greetings, and welcome to a "virtual shower" in honor of parents-to-be Rose and Daniel! When we heard they were expecting, we were determined to figure out a way to gather together and celebrate despite the distance. Please join us in the following weeks for a bit of fun, frivolity, unbridled sentimentality, and updates from Rose and Dan as they prepare for their London fledgling.

Make yourself at home! We invite you to leave comments, sign the guestbook, and let us know if you have an idea for a post. Please consider subscribing using the options to the right so you will be notified of updates.

Welcome to the party!

Julia and Margaret

  1. Hello. As most of you know. I am Rose's aunt (by marriage) and, as you all know - the Daly's are a loving and close knit clan. Her Uncle Pat and I have enjoyed living vicariously through her many, worldly stops on life's journey. She even 'stopped' in our home - lucky us – for a few short months while interning at the Nasher Museum in Dallas. We were always excited to find out where she would land next. But, now that she is with child - we selfishly want to bring Dan and Rose closer and share in this special life experience. Thought they are several time zones and many miles away, we're hoping to bridge the distance between friends and family during this unique time in their lives with this ‘virtual’ shower and blog.

  2. And I am Rose's friend from her time at the MFAH! She and I discovered that we had a mutual interest in learning how to quilt, and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

  3. Rose was my roommate in Wilmington where she pursued her Masters from Winterthur and developed detailed opinions on various apple varieties. I think the Pink Ladies were a house favorite. I'm so excited that Rose and Dan are about to embark on this adventure!
